Every Bet on the Felt
What each wager pays, how often it lands, and what it costs you in edge. The numbers come out of the Punto Banco rules themselves, which is why they hold at any stake.
Banker Bet
You back the Banker hand to beat the Player hand. The draw rules decide everything from there. Banker wins slightly more often than Player, which is exactly why standard tables charge 5% on the win — and why it is still the best bet on the felt.
How It Settles
Both hands are dealt and drawn according to the published Punto Banco draw table. If the Banker hand wins, a standard table pays 1:1 and takes 5% commission. On a No Commission table there is no charge, but a Banker win totalling exactly 6 pays 1:2.
Payout
0.95:1 after commission on a standard table. 1:1 on a No Commission table, except a Banker 6, which pays 1:2.
Strategy
This is the lowest-edge bet in the game at 1.06%. If you want the best return available here, bet it and keep betting it.

Player Bet
The Player hand wins a touch less often than the Banker, which is why it pays a flat 1:1 with nothing deducted. Slightly worse over a long session, and considerably simpler to keep track of.
How It Settles
Same deal, same draw table. If the Player hand wins, you are paid 1:1 with no commission taken.
Payout
1:1 flat.
Strategy
The second-best bet at the table. The 0.18 percentage points it gives away against Banker is the price of never having to think about commission.

Tie Bet
Both hands finish on the same total. It happens 9.52% of the time and pays 8:1, and those two numbers together produce a 14.36% house edge — far and away the worst wager available here.
How It Settles
If Player and Banker end on equal totals, the Tie pays and the main Player/Banker bets push. Some tables pay 9:1 instead of 8:1, which trims the edge; the rules panel tells you which one you are on.
Payout
8:1 typically, 9:1 on some tables.
Strategy
Do not build a session on it. As an occasional flutter it is fine; as a strategy it is mathematically dominated by both main bets.

Pair and Bonus Side Bets
Player Pair and Banker Pair pay 11:1 when the named hand opens with matching ranks. Either Pair pays 5:1 when either side does. Perfect Pair wants the suit to match as well, paying 25:1 for one and up to 200:1 for two. Player and Banker Bonus pay by winning margin, and on No Commission tables Super 6 pays 15:1 when the Banker wins with 6.
How It Settles
Each side bet is settled on the hand it names, independently of your main wager. They resolve as soon as the hand does — nothing carries over to the next deal.

Player/Banker Pair 11:1. Either Pair 5:1. Perfect Pair 25:1 for one pair, up to 200:1 for two. Super 6 15:1 on No Commission tables. Player/Banker Bonus scales with the winning margin.
Strategy
Every one of these runs a far higher house edge than Banker or Player. Keep the stakes small relative to your main bet and treat them as the entertainment they are.

How It Settles

The Side-Bet Ladder
The side-bet ladder climbs in steps. Player Pair and Banker Pair pay 11:1 when the named hand opens with matching ranks. Either Pair pays 5:1 if either of them does. Perfect Pair wants the suit to match as well: 25:1 for one, and up to 200:1 when both hands produce one. Player and Banker Bonus pay by winning margin, and No Commission tables add Super 6 at 15:1 when the Banker wins with a total of 6.
Player Pair or Banker Pair: matching ranks on that hand's first two cards, paying 11:1.
Either Pair: a pair on either side of the table, paying 5:1.
Perfect Pair: same rank and same suit — 25:1 for one, up to 200:1 for two.
Player or Banker Bonus: pays by the margin of the win, or on a natural.
Super 6, on No Commission tables only: 15:1 when the Banker wins with a total of 6.
How they settle
Every side bet settles the moment the hand ends. There's no pot that carries forward — win or lose, it clears and you re-post on the next deal.
Judge them over a session
Side-bet returns swing hand to hand. A long stretch of misses gets buried under the occasional 25:1, so judge them across a full session rather than a single deal — and never at a stake that matters.
Bankroll warning: Chasing the top of the side-bet ladder is the quickest way to drain a stack. Those circles carry a far higher house edge than the main bets and pay rarely. Keep them well under your main stake, or leave them alone entirely.
Banker or the Side Circles?
The Banker line does the heavy lifting for your return, at a 1.06% house edge. The side circles are entertainment sitting on top of it, and they will eat bankroll faster than the main game gives it back.
